Helping Hands

Medical Gases

Duration 1 day
Delegates 12 maximum
Qualification Certificate of attendance valid for one year
Venue Your own premises or any suitable UK venue
Medical Oxygen Regulator

This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to administer oxygen or entonox such as leisure centre staff, advanced first aiders, care workers, ambulance staff, expedition leaders or sports coaches.

It covers the theory and practical aspects of administering these gases and promotes safe and confident administration within current national guidelines. We normally use the equipment on your site to ensure familiarity with the equipment but can supply cylinders if necessary.

Each delegate will receive a medical gases handbook which can be kept for future reference and there are plenty of opportunities to practice new skills under supervision of the instructor during the course.

You must hold a current first aid certificate or have suitable medical experience in order to attend this course.

Medical gas training can be tailored to meet the requirements of your organisation and can be incorporated into other courses such as our Basic Life Support and First Aid at Work courses. Elements of this course can also be delivered as a two hour course or half day course.
